Our fantastic U14 girls team today added the Camogie Championship to the football title from three weeks ago. In another thrilling game they saw off a fierce Ballinteer challenge to win out on a score of 4-4 to 2-3.
It proved to be a similar game as the football final too – the first half was about showing their skills and building up a lead, while the second half was all about character and digging deep when the pressure came on.
This team have fantastic spirit and really work hard for each other. It was those facets of their play that proved crucial as when the game was there to be won, they fought for every ball and didn’t allow their opponents a second on the ball.
The fact that it is only the second season of Camogie in the club, underlines what an achievement this is for the group.
We would also like to thank our supports who again turned out in great numbers for the final.
Well done to all involved once again, the club are rightly very proud of the team and mentors.
