Last weekend saw our much awaited end of season combined games across the U7s, U8s and U10s girls.
With over 30 girls equally split into the Red, Orange, Black & White teams, we kicked off the round robin games. The combination of the U10s playing alongside our younger girls really brought leaders to the fore and our U7s & U8s quickly stepped up to the mark to showoff their skills.
The passing and movement to work the ball up the field, the defense splitting kick passes, the hard working attitude with tenacious defending and the numerous quality scores were a joy to watch and certainly had the crowd cheering loudly- quickly forgetting the cold morning.
While both the coaches and parents were certainly beaming with pride watching the games, the girls themselves have made fantastic progress over the past year and can be hugely proud of themselves and their improvement.
What a way to finish the year – the future of girls football is looking bright in Na Dubh Ghall and we’re always welcoming new players.
